Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an ancient form of treatment for various conditions that is becoming widespread in America. Acupuncture is based on the principle that there are energetic pathways, or meridians, throughout the body that influence associated internal organs and structures. Energy, or chi, from these pathways surfaces at various points on the body, identified as acupuncture points. Each of these acupuncture points serves as an access route to the deeper circulatory channels within. Extremely fine gauge needles are inserted at selected points, stimulating these points and thereby activating the body’s natural healing abilities and promoting balance within the body and mind as a whole entity. There are a number of different approaches to diagnosis and treatment in American acupuncture incorporates medical traditions from China, Japan, Korea, and other countries. Acupuncture can treat a wide array of physical and emotional issues such as pain, insomnia, depression, nausea, muscle pain and weakness and many, many more!
