Heather Koubek-Jameson (owner) graduated from Healing Hands Institute of Massage Therapy in January 2002 and has been practicing massage therapy full time in NY and NJ since then. She is licensed in massage therapy (LMT) in NY. Prior to obtaining her degree in massage therapy, Heather was working as a licensed social worker (LCSW) for 8 years in various medical settings throughout the 5 boroughs.
Incorporating her experience as a social worker has only enhanced her role as massage therapist as she is able to see and address the relationship between a clients emotional and physical issues. Her specialty is in deeper, more therapeutic work that will provide relief for both chronic and acute issues. She has expertise and extensive training in deep tissue, neuromuscular and trigger point work. She is also trained in pre/post natal and sports massage.
