What does Yemaya mean? Yemaya is the Goddess of Surrender. She is known to be the Goddess of the sea. It is said that those that come to Yemaya surrender their worries and their troubles dissolve in the waters. Are you carrying much more than you can comfortably handle? Surrender does not mean giving up, rather you are giving over, asking assistance so you can continue moving on. Wholeness is nurtured when you realize that the only way through some situations is to relinquish and open to something greater. The act of surrendering is one of opening and trust. When we open and trust, the energy we need will come to us.
Why get a massage? In choosing to receive a massage, you are giving yourself the gift of overall health. Massage offers many psychological & physical benefits. It can relieve chronic tightness & pain that are a result of everyday stressors. It increases circulation which removes toxins from skin & muscles quicker. It stimulates the parts of the nervous & endocrine systems that are responsible for relaxing the body & mind. Touch can help refocus & rejuvenate your mind, body & spirit.
Why Yemaya Wellness?
We know that that you are important to us.When you decide to have a massage therapy session at Yemaya Wellness, you have chosen well. Yemaya Wellness is unlike a larger, commercial "spa" setting, in that we are owner/operated resulting in a more client oriented, attentive and personal setting. We take great pride in listening closely to your concerns and in giving you the most individual and relevant massage to your particular needs.
We know that your time is important. Therefore at Yemaya Wellness you will receive the full session's time. As opposed to "spa's" which take approximately 10 minutes off a session; i.e. our Hour long session would translate into a 50 minute session in a spa.
We know that your money is important to you. We understand good value. Therefore we charge only ONE FEE for any hour of massage therapy; "spas" will charge as much as a 20% mark up in price for anything other than traditional Swedish massage.
We know that our education is your benefit. To that end, we are constantly updating our knowledge base through a peer to peer LMT network via our membership in the AMTA (American Massage Therapy Association) and even further through regular attendance in continuing education classes.
In visiting Yemaya Wellness, you are ensuring that you will receive a caring, quality massage that will leave you feeling relaxed, refreshed and ready to take the rest of the day!
